Key Responsibilities – Analyst (M&A Advisory)
Transaction Execution Support
- Assist in execution of M&A transactions including buy-side, sell-side, mergers, divestitures, and strategic partnerships
- Support senior team members in managing deal processes from pitch to closure
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely progress of mandates
Financial Modeling & Valuation
- Build and maintain detailed financial models including operating models and valuation models (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions)
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate deal feasibility and returns
- Support preparation of valuation analysis and investment recommendations
Industry & Market Research
- Conduct sector research, industry analysis, and benchmarking studies
- Track M&A trends, comparable transactions, and potential buyers/investors
- Identify strategic opportunities and support business development initiatives
Pitchbooks & Deal Marketing
- Prepare pitchbooks, teasers, and information memorandums (IMs)
- Develop financial summaries, charts, and business overviews
- Ensure high-quality, accurate, and visually effective presentations
Due Diligence & Data Room Management
- Support financial, commercial, legal, and tax due diligence processes
- Assist in managing virtual data rooms and organizing documentation
- Track diligence queries and ensure timely sharing of information
Financial Statement Analysis
- Analyze financial statements, KPIs, and operational metrics
- Identify key value drivers, risks, and potential synergies
- Support preparation of analytical notes and deal summaries
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Assist in communication with clients, investors, buyers, and advisors
- Support scheduling of meetings, management presentations, and calls
- Track feedback and follow-ups across stakeholders
Pipeline Tracking & MIS
- Maintain internal databases and track deal pipeline, timelines, and milestones
- Prepare periodic reports and updates for senior team members
- Ensure accurate documentation of deal progress
Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Stay updated on SEBI regulations and transaction guidelines
- Ensure adherence to internal processes and compliance requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile
- CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA (or pursuing) from a reputed institution
- 0–3 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, transaction advisory, or consulting
- Strong understanding of financial modeling and valuation concepts
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Good analytical, research, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
