Designation: Senior Underwriter - Commercial Lending

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter to join our Commercial Underwriting team in Bangalore and Chennai. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting commercial loans, analyzing credit risk, and making informed lending decisions.

Location: Bangalore and Chennai

Responsibilities

• Underwrite commercial loans, analyzing credit risk and making informed lending decisions
• Conduct thorough credit analysis, including reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored lending solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including corporate lending operations, commercial banking, and loan syndication
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory requirements, and industry developments to ensure compliance and optimal lending practices
• Analyze and interpret financial data, including cash flow, balance sheets, and income statements
• Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and quality
• Provide training and guidance to junior underwriters and other team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration
• Minimum 0-5 years of experience in commercial underwriting, credit underwriting, or corporate lending
• Strong knowledge of commercial lending, commercial banking, and loan operations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Loan IQ and other relevant software applications
• Knowledge of commercial loan operations, including loan syndication and commercial mortgage
