Role Description

This is a full-time Freelance Writer position located on-site in Baltimore, MD. The Freelance Writer will be responsible for producing high-quality written content aligned with the College of Architecture, Arts, and Design’s mission and vision. Day-to-day activities include researching, writing, and editing articles, press releases, and other forms of communication. Additionally, the role includes collaborating with faculty and staff to develop content strategies, ensuring that all deliverables maintain an engaging, professional tone and adhere to brand standards.

Qualifications

• Strong abilities in Creative Writing, Copywriting, and Web Content Writing
• Proficiency in Content Strategy development and conducting in-depth Research
• Excellent skills in Editing and Proofreading, ensuring clarity and accuracy
• Experience with Digital Marketing and crafting Content Marketing materials
• Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and compellingly
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and adapt to various writing styles
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
• Familiarity with the architecture, arts, and design space is a plus
