Role Snapshot

Position: Senior Software Engineer

Function: Digital & Technology

Location: India (Hybrid)

Reporting to: D&T Manager – Software Engineering

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in General Mills’ digital transformation journey, supporting the Supply Chain POD. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications while collaborating closely with global stakeholders. This is a hands-on individual contributor role suited for engineers passionate about coding, data, and high-impact delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, support, and maintain user interfaces and applications for Supply Chain solutions
  • Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and Solution Managers to define product vision and roadmap
  • Lead technical execution across India and US teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Ensure architectural consistency and scalable design across solutions
  • Investigate and resolve complex, cross-stack production issues
  • Continuously improve application reliability, performance, and operational SLAs
  • Leverage AI-powered low-code and no-code platforms such as Palantir, C3.ai, or similar technologies

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

  • Full-time graduation from an accredited university (mandatory)
  • 7–9 years of hands-on experience in:
  • Full-stack development, DevOps, and database development
  • Strong experience with:
  • Programming languages: C#, Java, Python, TypeScript
  • Front-end technologies: React (preferred), Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MS SQL, BigQuery
  • Cloud and microservices architecture (GCP preferred)
  • Data analytics, ETL processes, and data pipelines
  • Experience with cloud-native and AI-augmented development
  • Exposure to developer productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot and AI-driven development environments
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Willingness to learn and work with low-code and no-code platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in data science, including optimization, clustering, and simulations
  • MLOps and DevOps experience for building and scaling AI/ML solutions
  • Exposure to data and platform engineering, including data products and ontology frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms such as C3.ai or Palantir
  • Experience applying analytics within the CPG or FMCG Supply Chain domain
