Shape what’s next for mission-critical government projects while shaping what’s next for your engineering career.GDIT is seeking a Network Engineer to help support the JSP ETM-NG program at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.Selected candidate will support Day-Shift: Tuesday - SaturdayDue to the nature of work this role entails, telecommuting is not allowed and will require full-time onsite supportMeaningful work and personal impact:
- The Network Engineer will play a crucial role in driving the success of multiple concurrent efforts.
- Designs, plans, and builds communications networks.
- Configure routers and switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems and VPN concentrators with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols.
- Coordinates LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements.
- Monitors the network utilizing industry leading technologies.
- Provides innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process.
- Plans for implementation of enhancements.
- Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
- Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.
- Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability.
- Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
- Creates plans and configure systems for data communication networks.
- Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- Designs and builds the hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.
- Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced network personnel.
What you’ll need to succeed (Required):
Bring your program management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Engineer must have:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in leu of degree.
- Experience: 2+ years of related experience.
- Security clearance level: Active Top Secret required with the ability to obtain SCI.
- Certifications: Current IAT Level II certification required. In addition, candidate must possess a current Networking Certification to include Brocade, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Juniper (JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP), or Aruba.
- Role requirements: Hands-on experience/knowledge with Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, or Aruba networking systems required.

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $93,662 - $121,900. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
