You will own the AWS infrastructure for a recently migrated healthcare platform, driving stability, cost optimization, and modernization. This is a high-impact role where you will shape the technical direction of a critical healthcare platform serving hospice patients across the United States.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own and manage the Hospice AWS infrastructure using Terraform (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Backup)</li> <li>Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for .NET applications transitioning from legacy deployment processes</li> <li>Execute the cloud cost optimization roadmap: right-sizing, savings plans, storage tiering</li> <li>Plan and lead the migration from EC2-based workloads to modern architectures (EKS, Lambda, Step Functions)</li> <li>Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability (Datadog, CloudWatch)</li> <li>Ensure HITRUST E1 compliance and security best practices across all environments</li> <li>Mentor and upskill the Hospice application team on AWS operations and modern SDLC practices</li> <li>Collaborate with DBA team on the SQL Server EC2 to RDS migration</li> <li>Manage production patching, backup/DR, and incident response for the Hospice platform</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Experience &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering</li> <li>Deep expertise with AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation/Terraform)</li> <li>Strong Terraform experience (modules, state management, CI/CD integration)</li> <li>Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)</li> <li>Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)</li> <li>Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, or similar)</li> <li>Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)</li> <li>Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with Windows Server and .NET application deployments</li> <li>Experience migrating legacy on-premises workloads to AWS</li> <li>Experience with SQL Server administration or migration to RDS</li> <li>AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)</li> <li>Experience mentoring or leading small teams</li> </ul> <p>Physical requirements for this role include the ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies, make frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer that include the wrists, hands and fingers, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 20 pounds.
