This hybrid team of four AI-focused engineers and four front-end developers is dedicated to integrating AI into HubSpot's web experiences and implementing Marketing microapps and AEO solutions for our Global Growth team. The DX-AI team focuses on leveraging third-party LLMs, maintaining GenAI-powered search features, managing LLM proxy infrastructure in partnership with DevOps, and internal tools that enhance content generation, automation, and developer workflows.
This is not a machine learning or model-building role; the emphasis is on application development, integration, and enablement using existing AI models and services.
In this role, you'll focus on:

- Drive the continued evolution of AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) across HubSpot.com, using AI-driven systems to improve content visibility, performance, and discoverability in AI-powered search environments.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of AI-driven features by managing LLM proxy traffic in partnership with our DevOps team, monitoring usage metrics, and maintaining robust application security.
- Build and support internal tools for content generation and automation, streamlining marketing workflows and improving efficiency.
- Establish frameworks and best practices for rapid prototyping and documentation of AI-driven tools.
- Integrate and help guide ongoing efficiencies around AI-enhanced developer tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot into the web development workflow to boost team productivity and code quality.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of AI and microapp projects, including scoping, experimentation, technical design, implementation, and measurement.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy guidelines when integrating third-party AI services.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align AI capabilities with Marketing and SEO/AEO goals.
Developing the Team
- Foster an inclusive environment for brainstorming, ideation, and creating best-in-class digital experiences using AI.
- Empower and mentor a hardworking hybrid team of AI specialists and front-end developers across skill levels, helping front-end developers grow their back-end skills through hands-on project support.
- Be a team advocate, helping team members identify opportunities to further their careers. Coach and mentor team members in LLM prompting, agent design, RAG systems, API integrations, and AI application architecture.
- Conduct one-on-ones and performance reviews with team members to facilitate their ongoing development.
- Contribute to a unique global team culture that encourages innovation, curiosity, and continuous learning.
