About the position
We are seeking a Python Developer to join our team. This role involves developing object-oriented software in Python, working with object-oriented databases and grid computing on a proprietary platform. You will also build data transfer tools to replicate data from a NoSQL datastore into an Oracle Exadata environment. The position requires contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle and participating in Agile ceremonies and following Agile delivery practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop object oriented software in Python, working with object oriented databases and grid computing on the proprietary platform.
- Build data transfer tools to replicate data from a NoSQL datastore into an Oracle Exadata environment.
- Contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and follow Agile delivery practices.
Requirements
- Hands on experience writing object oriented Python, with the ability to produce clean, enterprise level code on a proprietary platform.
- Strong experience designing, optimizing, and tuning SQL database tables and queries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience using Python with libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Ability to write clean, enterprise grade object oriented Python code.
- Strong understanding of OOP concepts and ability to structure scalable, maintainable codebases.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including designing and tuning database tables, queries, and data models.
