Overview

Handshake is recruiting exceptional doctoral students, candidates, and graduates in Environmental Science to join our AI research community. This program brings subject-matter experts together to enhance the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) across specialized domains. The Handshake AI Fellowship program runs year-round, though project availability will vary by domain.

Qualifications

• PhD students, postdocs, or recent PhDs in environmental science, with research experience in areas including but not limited to:
• Climate Science or equivalent
• Environmental Chemistry
• Ecology / Environmental Biology
• Hydrology / Water Resources
• Environmental Policy / Sustainability Science
• Able to participate in primarily asynchronous work in partnership with leading AI labs.
• Believe your expertise can outmatch current AI systems in understanding and explaining key concepts in your field.
