Responsibilities
- Directs the business development activities within a defined geography to help meet the company’s established goals by understanding service lines and demonstrating industry knowledge through strong collaborative and leadership skills.
- Work with branch, regional, and corporate leadership to develop business plans that establish specific, measurable business development goals that support the established financial goals.
- Carry out and lead regular meetings with appropriate staff to strategize and share feedback on business development activities within the branch and/or region.
- Understand client needs and how F&R can help meet them.
- Seek out new and nurture existing business relationships that are mutually beneficial.
- Actively seek opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell services.
- Assist technical and marketing personnel with preparation of client-focused proposals.
- Attend industry-related networking events, trade shows, and conferences with the goal of establishing relationships and promoting the F&R brand.
- Encourage, assist, and direct others to engage in business development related activities as appropriate.
- Be aware of emerging trends affecting the market and/or services provided by the company.
- Actively use F&R’s CRM system to share relevant information and research.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Specific relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of successful sales experience in same or related field highly preferred
- Ability to manage numerous assignments and meet deadlines
- Ability to meet self-imposed strategic goals
- Ability to participate in industry events
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to effectively communicate in both speaking and writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Valid US. Driver’s License and good standing driving record
- Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record
