It’s hard to believe that it’s 2026 and paying rent on time is expensive, inflexible, and difficult. We’re here to change that! Flex enables our users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we are looking for motivated individuals to help us keep our mission growing. About the Role
Flex is hiring an Associate General Counsel, Product & Regulatory to join our Legal team. You will counsel on product development and launches, navigate consumer financial regulation, and help shape how Flex builds compliantly at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Advise cross-functional stakeholders on new features, product enhancements, and go-to-market strategy
- Regulatory change management; monitor the consumer financial landscape and translating developments into actionable guidance for the policy team and business

What We’re Looking For

- Fluency across consumer financial regulation - CFPB rulemaking, TILA/Reg Z, UDAP/UDAAP, money transmission, and state licensing requirements for servicing and brokering.
- Demonstrated experience as an embedded legal partner to product teams — comfortable advising on feature launches and speaking to regulatory risk at the leadership level.
