Role and Responsibilities of Retail Assistant:

As a Five Below associate, you will deliver exceptional customer service and support store operations to ensure a fun, welcoming shopping experience.

• Listen actively to customer needs and concerns, addressing them with empathy and professionalism.
• Possess expertise in product details, advise on selections, and deliver resolutions to meet customer requirements.
• Elevate customer engagement through the promotion of store events, special deals, and activities.
• Approach customer inquiries with courtesy, offering substitutes if necessary.
• Provide updates on restocking merchandise and customer evaluations to the supervisors.
• Coordinate with your team to fulfill the goals set for the store and the company.

Qualifications for Retail Assistant:

• The minimum age requirement for involvement is 16 years old.
• The ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.
• Capable and at ease with employing technology such as registers and mobile devices.
• Skilled in communication effectiveness and customer service prowess.
• Aptitude for promptly and professionally dealing with challenges.
• Enthusiastic about acquiring new skills through on-the-job education.

Essential Job Functions of Retail Assistant:

• Run a cash register and process payments from clients.
• Carry and categorize items with a weight limit of 25 pounds and store them on shelves that are as high as 10 feet.
• Ascend ladders and engage in bending, twisting, and stooping actions when stocking shelves and assisting patrons.
• Engage in verbal communication with customers, colleagues, and supervisors, either in person or over the phone.
• Continuously move throughout the sales floor and stockroom facilities.
• Persist in staying focused and keeping an upright position for an extended time frame.
• Be prepared to accommodate varying schedules, which could entail working overnight shifts.
