About The Role The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) at Weichert, Realtors, will play a pivotal role in attracting, recruiting, and onboarding talented sales professionals within the Maryland and Virginia regions. Reporting directly to the Residential Sales Recruiter Lead, this role involves working closely with Regional Presidents and Branch Managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
The TAS will be responsible for prospecting potential candidates, conducting interviews, and guiding them through the hiring process to ensure a seamless transition into the Weichert family. The position requires regular travel to various sales offices across the region to facilitate in-person meetings, attend industry events, and foster relationships with local real estate schools and community organizations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, all while maintaining a focus on delivering quality talent to support the growth of the company’s sales teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Minimum of 1.5 years of previous recruiting experience; strong sales or management experience involving hiring and team building is also acceptable.
- Proven ability to secure appointments through phone calls, networking, and cold calling.
- Excellent presentation skills for small and large group settings.
- Strong networking skills and familiarity with industry events, career fairs, and local real estate schools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Basic math skills including calculations involving percentages, fractions, and basic arithmetic.
- Experience using recruitment tools and applicant tracking systems.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, contact, and meet with potential candidates, both new and experienced, for sales positions at Weichert, Realtors.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through cold calling, networking, industry events, and local educational institutions.
- Conduct in-person and virtual interviews, assess candidate suitability, and provide recommendations for hiring based on expertise, market knowledge, and analytics.
- Coordinate and participate in career fairs, job seminars, and industry events to promote Weichert as an employer of choice.
- Build and nurture relationships with local real estate schools and community organizations to attract emerging talent.
- Market the company and individual sales offices to enhance brand visibility and attract top candidates.
- Negotiate compensation packages and facilitate onboarding processes for new hires.
- Utilize internal and external sourcing tools to track leads, manage candidate information, and report recruitment progress to management.
- Collaborate closely with Regional Vice Presidents, Branch Managers, and sales teams to understand staffing needs and develop targeted recruitment strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and prepare regular reports for management review.
- Achieve a minimum recruitment target of 48 new and experienced Sales Associates annually.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall talent acquisition objectives.
