Position Overview:
We are seeking an Assistant Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. This role assists the Store Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining a positive customer experience, and developing a motivated and efficient store team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the overall operations and daily activities of the store.
- Offer superb client care and manage inquiries or uncertainties with a high level of professionalism.
- Arrange and transport items from delivery trucks to the stockroom and sales area of the store, ensuring the upkeep of seasonal zones within the retail space.
- Carry out the specified actions for both the commencement and conclusion of tasks as directed.
- Follow corporate guidelines, such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Important Survey inquiries, and additional store notifications.
- Uphold the promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and exhibits.
- Aid in the acquisition of merchandise, dealing with faulty goods, organizing records like payroll details, managing schedules, handling cash deposits, and preventing theft.
- Preserve store areas to maintain a well-stocked sales floor and an organized stockroom.
- Maintain a high level of security for all organizational assets, particularly the cash reserves in the store.
- Supervise associates to guarantee compliance with policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Help the Store Manager in managing, educating, and advancing the store team.
- Foster a positive, secure, and respectful ambiance by engaging professionally with clients, coworkers, and leadership.
- Keep the store clean and organized by regularly tending to tasks like restroom upkeep, floor cleaning, trash disposal, and maintaining tidiness.
- Undertake supplementary duties assigned by the Store Manager.
Skills and Experience:
- Although a high school diploma or equivalent is preferable, the key requirement is the skill to interpret and communicate operational directives effectively.
- It is preferred to have previous experience in store management within retail, grocery, or drug store sectors.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 55 lbs and carry out continuous walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- Proficient in communication, skilled in interpersonal interactions, and adept at written communication.
- Skill in thriving in a vibrant, teamwork-driven environment.
- Remarkable expertise in client relations, coordination, and resolving challenges.
- Demonstrating strong leadership qualities and sound judgment.
