Deputy manager-financial planning and analysis

Role Overview:

As a dynamic and detail-oriented individual, you will be responsible for end-to-end inventory accounting, valuation, and cost management at Exide Energy Solutions Ltd. Your role will involve ensuring accurate cost capture across raw materials, work in progress (WIP), and finished goods, leveraging SAP S/4 HANA modules, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Account for all inventory transactions including raw materials, WIP, finished goods, consumables, stores & spares, and scrap.
• Monitor material movements such as goods receipt notes (GRN), issues, transfers, and subcontracting.
• Perform periodic physical stock verification and reconcile with SAP stock, investigating and reporting stock variances, shrinkage, and process losses.
• Ensure proper cut-off procedures during month-end and year-end.
• Valuate inventory using FIFO/Weighted Average/Standard Costing, perform standard cost roll-up in SAP, and analyze variances.
• Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory, and recommend provisions.
• Maintain cost records as per statutory compliance rules, prepare cost sheets, and capture quantitative details.
• Coordinate cost audit under Companies Act, prepare statements, reconcile with financial accounts, and resolve audit queries.
• Ensure accurate inventory postings in SAP MM, validate material master, valuation class, price control, and GL mapping.
• Support integration with FI for inventory accounting and reconciliation, and CO module activities.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, reconcile inventory sub-ledger with General Ledger, and support financial reporting.
• Prepare MIS reports, analytics, and provide insights on cost reduction opportunities, process inefficiencies, and support budgeting.
• Implement and monitor internal financial controls over inventory and costing, support audits, and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, stores, and sales.

Qualification Required:

• Education: B. Com/M. Com/CMA (Inter/Final preferred)/CA (Inter/Final preferred).
• Experience: 48 years in manufacturing (plant costing/inventory role), experience in SAP S/4 HANA environment is mandatory. Role Overview:
