Job Description

Friendship Hospital for Animals, a leading AAHA- accredited hospital located in Washington D.C. is seeking a compassionate veterinary assistant to join our Rehabilitation team! If you're interested in helping pets regain their zest for life and enjoy being part of a collaborative, diverse team – we'd love to meet you!

About the role

Our department is equipped with state-of-the-art therapeutic tools, including laser therapy, ultrasound, e-stim, hydrotherapy (Oasis UWTM), and a full range of therapeutic exercise equipment. The veterinary assistant works alongside the rehab doctors and technicians to assist with comprehensive rehabilitative care. You will also be responsible for assisting/coordinating appointments, so excellent communication skills and professionalism are a must. Someone who is detail oriented, great at multitasking, and implements Fear Free techniques is our ideal candidate.

Schedule: Three 13 hour shifts per week. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications

Veterinary Assistant certification is preferred but not required.
Fear Free certification a plus!
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
