About The Role
Even Healthcare is building the most integrated health coverage platform in India - combining insurance, clinics, and hospital networks into one seamless experience. Pricing is core infrastructure for us - it determines what we can sell, at what margin, and how sustainable the business is.
We're looking for an Underwriter who owns pricing end-to-end: modelling risk, structuring group health quotes, and building the actuarial logic that sits underneath our product. This is a technical, analytical role - not sales, not ops. You'll work closely with our partnerships and product teams, but your job is to get the numbers right.
What You'll Own
- Underwriting group health insurance proposals - evaluating risk, structuring coverage, and recommending pricing
- Building and maintaining pricing models that account for claims history, demographics, utilisation trends, and insurer benchmarks
- Partnering with the partnerships team to support RFPs, renewals, and customised proposals - as the technical backstop, not the face
- Tracking claims experience across the book and feeding learnings back into pricing assumptions
- Working with insurers and TPAs on pricing negotiations - you'll need to speak their language fluently
What We're Looking For
- 3–7 years in health insurance underwriting, actuarial analysis, or pricing at an insurer, TPA, or broking firm
- Strong quantitative foundation - comfortable building models in Excel or equivalent; actuarial background a plus
- Deep working knowledge of group health products - floater, individual sum insured, top-ups, OPD riders
- Able to work independently and make pricing calls with appropriate rigour - not someone who needs to escalate every decision
- Based in Bengaluru or willing to relocate
