Physical Therapy Aide

Role Description This is an on-site, volunteer Orthopedic Physical Therapist role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will assess patients with musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide hands-on therapy to support recovery and functional improvement. Daily tasks include conducting evaluations, documenting progress, educating patients on exercises, posture, and injury prevention, and collaborating with mental health and medical professionals to support integrated care. The role also involves guiding patients through rehabilitation programs, monitoring outcomes, and adjusting interventions as needed. The volunteer will help ensure that patients receive supportive, compassionate, and safe care aligned with Esperanza’s holistic mission.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to design and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Clinical experience or training in Orthopedics, including assessment and management of musculoskeletal and sports-related conditions.
• Commitment to high-quality Patient Care and Customer Service, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Relevant degree in Physical Therapy (BPT/MPT or equivalent) and appropriate registration/licensure as required by local regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a community-focused, volunteer setting.
• Strong documentation, time-management, and organizational skills; familiarity with outcome measures and basic clinical reporting.
• Experience in mental health–integrated or holistic care settings is an advantage.
