Salesforce Architect Consultant

UCSF Central IT is seeking a Salesforce Architect Consultant with expertise in Agent force and Salesforce Data Cloud to design the foundational architecture and scalable platform supporting enterprise digital services across Health, Research, and Education domains.

The architect will define the core platform architecture, governance framework, and integration patterns to enable secure digital experiences, analytics, and AI-driven automation (Agentic AI) while ensuring proper data segregation, security controls, and governance guardrails.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and implement the foundational Salesforce architecture leveraging Agentforce and Data Cloud.

· Architect a scalable platform supporting the Health, Research, and Education domains.

· Ensure data is segregated appropriately across domains with strong security models, access controls, and governance guardrails.

· Design Agentforce AI agents and workflows to enable intelligent automation, knowledge retrieval, and conversational experiences.

· Architect Experience Cloud portals to deliver secure digital experiences for patients, researchers, students, and partners.

· Define Data Cloud architecture, including data ingestion pipelines, segmentation strategies, and governance frameworks.

· Design integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems using APIs, MuleSoft, and event-driven architectures.

· Enable analytics and insights using Tableau / Tableau Next integrated with Data Cloud.

· Establish platform governance, DevOps practices, and security standards to ensure compliance and long-term scalability.

Required Qualifications

· 10+ years of Salesforce platform experience, including architecture and technical leadership roles.

· Strong expertise in Salesforce Data Cloud architecture and enterprise data strategy.

· Experience designing Agentforce AI-driven automation and workflow solutions.

· Experience with Experience Cloud portal architecture.

· Strong experience implementing secure enterprise integrations (REST APIs, middleware, MuleSoft).

· Knowledge of Salesforce Lightning Platform (Apex, LWC) and DevOps practices.

· Strong understanding of data governance, security models, identity management, and compliance frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

· Salesforce certifications such as Data Cloud Consultant, Application Architect, System Architect, or CTA pathway.

· Experience implementing Tableau analytics integrated with Salesforce Data Cloud.

· Experience working with healthcare, research, or higher education data environments.
