About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Manager – Events (Business Development, Revenue & Growth) to lead revenue generation, client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and business expansion initiatives across our events portfolio.
The ideal candidate is a commercially focused professional with a strong network, proven sales leadership experience, and the ability to identify new market opportunities while driving sustainable revenue growth through events, sponsorships, partnerships, and strategic collaborations.
Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue & Business Growth
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Drive sponsorship sales, exhibitor acquisitions, delegate registrations, and event partnerships.
- Identify new revenue streams and growth opportunities across events and experiential platforms.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from prospecting to closure.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and long-term partnerships.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Establish relationships with CXOs, marketing leaders, HR leaders, procurement teams, and industry stakeholders.
- Generate new business through networking, referrals, industry events, and outbound sales efforts.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximize retention and upselling opportunities.
- Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and proposal discussions.
Strategic Partnerships
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships with industry associations, media partners, government bodies, and corporate organizations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create mutually beneficial commercial opportunities.
- Expand market reach through alliance-building and ecosystem development.
Event Commercialization
- Work closely with event production and marketing teams to maximize event profitability.
- Develop sponsorship packages and commercial offerings aligned with market demand.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to enhance event positioning.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor business development and sales teams.
- Establish KPIs, sales targets, and performance metrics.
- Drive a high-performance, revenue-focused culture within the team.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and revenue reports to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
- 8–15 years of experience in Business Development, Sponsorship Sales, Event Sales, Partnerships, or Revenue Growth.
- Strong understanding of B2B events, conferences, exhibitions, and experiential marketing.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing large corporate accounts and strategic partnerships.
