Associate Director – Public Relations at El Sol Strategic Consultants [ESSC]

8-14 years of experience

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Provide strategic leadership to junior associates, consultants, and interns, ensuring effective management and mentorship.
  • Align team efforts with ESSC’s Core Values, Vision, and Business Goals.
  • Develop and implement team-building initiatives to maintain high morale and a collaborative work environment.
  • Set performance metrics for the team and ensure timely reviews and feedback sessions.
  • Enforce adherence to ESSC’s policies, professional ethics, and industry best practices.

Client & Media Relations:

  • Act as a key representative of ESSC, fostering strong relationships with high-profile clients and media houses.
  • Develop and execute media relations strategies to secure top-tier placements across print, digital, and broadcast media.
  • Maintain and leverage a robust network of media contacts, industry influencers, and thought leaders.
  • Oversee client communications, ensuring consistent and strategic messaging across channels.
  • Provide crisis communication and reputation management support to clients as needed.

Business Development & Strategy:

  • Identify and explore new business opportunities, preparing and presenting proposals to potential clients.
  • Develop and execute long-term brand marketing and PR strategies aligned with client business objectives.
  • Evaluate and optimize PR campaigns, sponsorships, partnerships, and brand collaborations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market insights to drive innovation.
  • Lead the development of quarterly and annual strategic roadmaps for clients.

Event & Campaign Management:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of high-impact PR campaigns, press conferences, and industry events.
  • Ensure seamless coordination of promotional events and brand activations.
  • Supervise the creation of campaign materials, including briefing documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Monitor campaign performance, generating post-event analysis and recommendations for improvement.

Content Creation & Thought Leadership:

  • Guide the development of compelling content, including press releases, articles, white papers, and reports.
  • Oversee the production of client-facing materials such as newsletters, brochures, and promotional assets.
  • Ensure alignment of all content with brand messaging and strategic objectives.
  • Foster ESSC’s thought leadership by securing speaking engagements, panel discussions, and media interviews for key stakeholders.

Digital & Social Media Integration:

  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to enhance PR efforts through online platforms and social media channels.
  • Lead the development of multi-channel marketing strategies that integrate traditional and digital PR.
  • Monitor and analyze digital media trends to improve client visibility and engagement.
  • Oversee the tracking of online brand sentiment and recommend strategic adjustments when necessary.

Financial & Operational Oversight:

  • Manage budgets for PR campaigns, sponsorships, and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure cost-effective allocation of resources without compromising the quality of services delivered.
  • Track campaign performance, providing financial insights and impact assessments to senior leadership.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with media partners, vendors, and key stakeholders.

Client Retention & Satisfaction:

  • Ensure 100% client satisfaction through exceptional service and consistent value delivery.
  • Address client concerns proactively, ensuring issues are resolved with strategic solutions.
  • Regularly update clients on campaign progress, PR milestones, and industry developments.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships to secure repeat business and referrals.

Knowledge Management & Industry Networking:

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in PR, media, and marketing industries.
  • Build and maintain a network of media professionals, industry influencers, and strategic partners.
  • Organize monthly knowledge-sharing sessions within the team to ensure continuous professional development.
  • Represent ESSC at industry forums, networking events, and conferences.

Crisis Management & Risk Mitigation:

  • Lead crisis communication planning and execution for clients.
  • Ensure swift and strategic responses to reputational risks and media controversies.
  • Develop contingency plans for potential PR challenges, ensuring readiness for unforeseen events.
  • Guide the team in crafting effective crisis communication statements and public responses.

Working Days: Mon - Fri (Last Saturday of the month working)

Working Hours: 9:30am - 6pm
