Order Picker/Forklift Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods throughout the facility. This role requires attention to detail, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and clamp trucks to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
• Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently using warehouse management systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment and handling materials.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is preferred.
• Valid forklift certification is required; clamp truck experience is a plus.
• Strong basic math skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as necessary.
• Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse management systems is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
