D365 Business Central Business Analyst (Contract, Part-Time, Remote - Canada)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Business Analyst to support client engagements on a part-time contract basis. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to gather, analyze, and document business requirements while helping translate business needs into effective D365 Business Central solutions.

This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates currently based in Canada. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client discovery sessions and requirements gathering workshops.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through D365 Business Central.
• Document functional requirements, business processes, user stories, and solution specifications.
• Act as a liaison between clients, technical teams, and project stakeholders.
• Support solution design and validate that proposed solutions meet business objectives.
• Assist with system configuration reviews, testing, training, and user acceptance activities.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication and manage expectations throughout project lifecycles.
• Provide recommendations on Business Central best practices and process optimization.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV/Business Central environments).
• Proven experience conducting client-facing requirements gathering and business process analysis.
• Strong understanding of finance, operations, supply chain, inventory, purchasing, and sales processes within Business Central.
• Experience creating functional design documents, process maps, and business requirements documentation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Microsoft partners, consulting firms, or ERP implementation projects.
• Familiarity with integrations, reporting, and Power Platform solutions.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certifications are an asset.
