You will manage, design, and execute projects of varying complexity and size within the assigned functional area. You will partner with business stakeholders, collaborate with colleagues for administrative and logistics support, and utilize project management skills, tools, and methods to ensure successful project completion. You will use data-driven methods to ensure quantitative project measurement, reporting, and sustainability of project results. Leading multiple projects from assignment or ideation to completion will be a key responsibility.
- Facilitate project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine scope and objectives.
- Work with business stakeholders to establish quantifiable project goals and deliverables.
- Design project plans, develop timelines, identify milestones, and track performance against timelines and deliverables.
- Utilize project management and quality tools to identify project issues and risks, working with team members to resolve them.
- Use project management, data visualization, and communication tools to monitor and communicate project status.
- Plan and monitor project budget, conduct research and project data analysis, and collaborate in project design.
- Manage project risk, identifying areas of risk and working with the team to implement mitigation solutions.
- Document and share lessons learned and project management best practices with other teams.
- Maintain project records in accessible digital formats and communicate project updates effectively.
- Identify and assign appropriate resources, coaching team members through project stages and providing project management guidance.
You should have a minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience, with project or team leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Cummins QMS (CQMS), experience with CAR/SCAR resolution, Six Sigma GB certification, and problem-solving techniques is advantageous.
You will manage eQMS implementation in the United States, Latin America, and Europe, facilitating meetings and reviews. The role requires working India night shifts (5 PM to 2 AM), following the India holiday calendar; during US holidays, day shift work is permitted. There may be a need for domestic travel to India-based plants to understand implementation processes.
You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks using recommended tools and strategies, constructing clear narratives using data visualization, including reports and dashboards, balancing scope, schedule, and resources to ensure project success, and applying quality disciplines, tools, and methodologies for continuous process improvement.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. Quality Green Belt certification or equivalent is preferred, and a project management certification is an advantage.
