DGM Procurement - Lighting

In this role, you will be leading and responsible for B2B Lighting Procurement manage India/International suppliers on strategy, cost, delivery, NPD, quality, warranty, service-spares and compliance. Role is for B2B Lighting Procurement Lead with regular interaction with management team.

Responsible:

Owning vendor relationship and delivers strategic impact through Vendor Strategy Development. Doing vendor negotiation with clear long-term strategy. Guide team members for the establishes baseline and target prices for negotiations. Be aware of industry information/ benchmark. Overall owns the vendor contracts and negotiations for B2B Lighting business procurement.

Understanding the full business relationship of the Vendor, its position in the market relative to others, and its strategy, investment themes and capabilities.

Managing Vendor performance (quality, delivery, cost, compliance, innovation, NPD), cross-functional stakeholder feedback /calibration.

Applying oversight and monitoring of agreed projects being executed in the business by securing close alignment between supplier, Marketing, R&D, Quality and business.

Provides regular reports to Management that brings visibility on compliance, spend, savings, warranty settlement, Service spares availability, delivery performance, Agreement, and quarterly account reconciliation.

Continuous improvement of Purchasing processes, technologies, and digitization.

Pursues leads/opportunities to increase leverage and supports their development where applicable, in close conjunction with the relevant Commodity Management and Cost Analyst team.

Should be Costing and Zero-Based Costing of all products along market benchmarking.

Builds and sustains a network with people in relevant related business areas to ensure knowledge transfer and sharing of best practices.

Skills and experience

Bachelors/master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electronics, etc.) with of relevant experience. MBA in Operation/SCM.

Good understanding of supplier manufacturing processes, part cost roll-ups, should be costing, commodity price movement trend, outside India purchase, part development, dies casting and injection moulding tooling/methodologies.

Highly motivated, action oriented, persistent towards accomplishing tasks and drives for success. Cross functional skills and awareness of business requirements, Is capable of understanding global approach and align locally. Is accurate and delivers quality work, with a strong sense of urgency.
