Job Description
What you'll be doing
You'll own the full UX lifecycle across Discovery, Alpha, Beta, and Live phases following the Ontario Digital Service Design playbook. That means leading user research and synthesis, producing clickable prototypes, running usability testing, validating user stories ahead of development sprints, and conducting accessibility compliance testing throughout. You'll be embedded in an Agile/Scrum team as the design lead — one iteration ahead of the developers at all times.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of UX design experience on complex, multi-phase digital products
- Proven experience facilitating user interviews, usability testing, and producing research findings reports
- Strong command of Figma, Sketch, InVision, Axure, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar tools
- Comfortable in Agile/Scrum environments — you know how to run a sketching workshop and get PO sign-off without slowing the team down
- Mobile-first and responsive design experience is a must
- AODA/accessibility compliance experience is a strong asset
- HTML5, CSS3, or JS (React, Angular, Node) skills are a bonus
