Job Description

Mission of the Role

This role is responsible for overseeing financial operations of India including accounting, management accounting, finance control, audits, statutory compliance, cash management, and safeguarding company documents, contracts, and assets.

The role ensures compliance with statutory laws, Group policies, and audit requirements, while providing financial insights and operational support to business leaders. The position reports directly to the Regional Finance Director – South Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Business Support:

  • Act as partner to FP&A Leads for different Business Lines in providing timely and accurate financial insights, including proactive identification and flagging of financial risks.
  • Serve as a central pivot to streamline and standardize financial processes across all legal entities, driving efficiency and productivity
  • Coach, guide, and develop finance staff to improve accuracy, ownership, and overall productivity.
  • Work closely with Tax, Credit & Collection, and FP&A teams to ensure consistency and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Manage cash flow effectively and control credit risk to support ongoing business operations.
  • Monitor and control operational expenditure (Opex) to support cost-effective business operations.
  • Ensure financial policies, procedures, and controls are aligned with Group guidelines and external audit requirements.
  • Ensure timely completion and closure of statutory, internal, and group audits for all entities.

Financial Controlling

  • Manage end to end finance operations, including accounting, management accounting, and finance control.
  • Develop, implement and enforce financial procedures/policies across branches and entities.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and legislation and proactively flag financial and compliance risk.
  • Work closely with Credit and Collection and A/P Team to improve credit control and monitor accounts receivable/accounts payable. Oversee accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Consolidation Process

  • Compile and complete statutory financial statements and reports for government organizations, auditors, and Group headquarters.
  • Manage and validate financial data inputs into financial systems.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for annual statutory audits and other reviews.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and proper management of the company’s legal, financial, and contractual documentation.

In Charge Of Statutory Financial Statement Inventory

  • Take overall responsibility for annual statutory audits for all applicable entities.
  • Ensure timely preparation, review, and finalization of statutory financial statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of statutory reports and filings to relevant authorities.

Qualifications, Experience and Technical Skills

  • University Graduate with bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a Big-4 accounting firm is an added advantage.
  • C.A./Inter C.A. or other recognized professional accounting qualification is preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years sound professional experience in a financial area within Multinational Companies.
  • Large experience in local tax area and local accounting practices.
  • Experience in Business Intelligence (Hyperion, Navision, Outlook soft, others)
