Server/Cashier

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our restaurant team. This role involves providing excellent guest service, managing transactions accurately, and supporting the overall dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food safety standards are preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Duties

• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
• Process payments through cash handling and cashiering procedures
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of guest service
• Assist with food preparation and ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including kitchen and dining spaces
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
• Provide friendly guest services, answer questions about menu items, and address customer concerns professionally
• Support team members in maintaining restaurant operations during shifts

Skills

• Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or transactions efficiently
• Previous food industry or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Effective communication skills and a friendly demeanor
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of food preparation and serving techniques
• Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest services and upselling opportunities

Pay: $15.26-$17.25 per hour
