As a Legal Assistant, you'll provide dedicated support for several executives at TD. You'll also provide a wide range of administrative or general workplace support for the broader team as assigned.

The successful candidate will support the Global Contracts and Enterprise Real Estate teams, to provide administrative support on a wide variety of file engagements, projects, initiatives & event/meeting coordination, including primary administrative functions such as:

Provide accurate, organized, efficient and effective administrative support (e.g., word processing, prepare various spreadsheets and power point presentations, collect and track data, research information, schedule/organize meetings, manage calendars, answer phones, create and maintain electronic and paper legal files, managing matters including billings and travel, etc.).

Apply broad general or specialized legal knowledge in the compilation and/or preparation of correspondence and legal documents.

Use discretion in managing matters, escalating issues to Legal Counsel as appropriate.

Prioritize and manage own workflow to ensure quality and efficiency; be flexible in adjusting to changing work priorities.

Collaborate with other legal assistants and assistants on the team and across the North American department on a variety of tasks supporting different lawyers depending on the needs of the department.

Use software programs and other departmental tools or equipment at the level required to efficiently and effectively provide appropriate documents/information required by Legal Counsel.

Communicate effectively and confidently at senior levels on a regular basis.

Apply sound knowledge of legal concepts, principles, terminology and procedures.

Legal Admin. Provide vacation/temporary coverage for colleagues, supporting additional leaders

Provide support while ensuring quality service and professionalism at every interaction

High school diploma with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Ability to collaborate with other Legal Assistants, in addition to internal and external partners

Can efficiently interpret TD policies and help executives apply these standards in a fast-changing environment

Experience coordinating travel arrangements and comfortable managing frequent changes

Strong organizational skillset to manage accountabilities while simultaneously managing leaders' administrative requirements
