L2 DevOps Production Support Engineer – CI/CD Platforms

We are looking for an experienced L2 Production Support Engineer to support critical DevOps automation platforms and CI/CD pipelines within a banking technology environment.

This role focuses on production support, platform stability, and pipeline reliability, working closely with DevOps Engineers and QA teams to maintain and troubleshoot the DevOps stack.

This is not a pure engineering role — the focus is on supporting production issues, managing support channels, and ensuring platform reliability.

Project Scope

Provide critical support and enhancements for technology platforms, focusing on:

• DevOps automation support
• Platform reliability
• CI/CD pipeline stability
• Security and compliance
• Emerging AI / automation capabilities

The goal is to ensure continuous delivery, secure operations, and high platform availability.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities :

• Provide L2 / Production support in a DevOps environment
• Manage support channels for DevOps and platform issues
• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Troubleshoot pipeline, container, and infrastructure issues
• Support container platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• Maintain reusable DevOps automation using Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation
• Assist DevOps Engineers and QA teams with production issues
• Monitor platform health and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Ensure secure and compliant platform operations
• Support both on-premises and cloud DevOps environments

Must-Have Skills :

• 5+ years of experience in Production Support / L2 Support / Platform Support
• Experience supporting DevOps / CI-CD pipelines
• Strong experience with:
• Python
• Kubernetes
• Docker
• OpenShift
• GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps
• Terraform / Ansible / AWS CloudFormation
• Experience supporting DevOps automation platforms
• Experience troubleshooting complex platform issues
• Knowledge of security and compliance best practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills (onsite interaction required)
• North American education required

Nice-to-Have :

• Experience in banking or financial services
• Exposure to AI / ML / automation platforms
• Experience with:
• Apache Airflow
• Apache Spark
• Dask
• Secret management tools such as HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager
• Certifications such as:
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Azure DevOps Certification
• GitHub Actions Certification
• Experience supporting QA or test automation platforms

The expected base salary range for this position is $85 – $90 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity.
