Job Description: Senior Front-End Developer – Headless eCommerce (5 Years Experience) Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Developer with approximately 5 years of experience building high-performance headless eCommerce applications. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in React, TypeScript, Astro/Next.js, and modern composable commerce architecture. Key Responsibilities - Develop, optimize, and maintain headless eCommerce storefronts using React, TypeScript, and frameworks like Astro or Next.js. - Build and enhance PDP, PLP, Cart, Checkout, Search, and user account flows. - Integrate frontend applications with headless commerce backends especially Adobe Commerce GraphQL - Implement content-driven pages using CMS platforms like Contentful, Sanity, or Strapi. - Optimize Core Web Vitals, SEO, Lighthouse scores, and overall storefront performance. - Integrate APIs (REST/GraphQL) and ensure efficient caching and data fetching. - Collaborate with backend, product, and design teams to deliver seamless omnichannel experiences. - Build reusable UI components consistent with design system guidelines. - Participate in code reviews and mentor developers. - Deploy and optimize applications on platforms such as Vercel, Netlify, or Cloudflare. Required Skills & Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in modern frontend development. - Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript. - Expert knowledge of React, hooks, state management (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, React Query). - Strong experience with headless eCommerce systems (CommerceTools, Shopify, VTEX, BigCommerce). - Experience with Astro, Next.js, or similar meta-frameworks. - Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive layouts, and accessibility standards. - Hands-on experience integrating REST/GraphQL APIs. - Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress). - Strong debugging and performance optimization skills. - Understanding of SEO, structured data, and SSR/SSG strategies. Nice-to-Have Skills - Experience with PWAs, service workers, and offline caching. - Knowledge of A/B testing, personalization engines, and analytics tracking. - Experience with search tools like Algolia or Elasticsearch. - Exposure to design systems or component library development. - Knowledge of edge computing platforms (Cloudflare Workers, Vercel Edge).
