Job Summary
The Retail Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all security operations within the shopping mall, ensuring safety of customers, tenants, employees, and assets. The role includes managing a team of approximately 40 security guards, maintaining discipline, ensuring SOP compliance, and handling emergency situations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:1. Team Management & Deployment
- Supervise, manage, and lead a team of ~40 security guards.
- Prepare duty rosters, shift schedules, and deployment plans.
- Ensure proper manpower allocation at entry/exit gates, parking, retail floors, and critical zones.
- Conduct daily briefings and regular training sessions.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming, and discipline.
2. Security Operations
- Ensure strict implementation of security SOPs across the mall.
- Monitor access control, visitor management, and frisking procedures.
- Oversee CCTV surveillance and coordinate with control room operators.
- Prevent theft, shoplifting, and unauthorized activities.
- Conduct regular patrolling of the mall premises.
3. Emergency & Incident Handling
- Act as first responder in case of emergencies (fire, theft, medical, evacuation).
- Coordinate with local authorities (police, fire brigade, ambulance).
- Prepare and maintain incident reports and logs.
- Ensure fire safety systems and emergency exits are always functional.
4. Loss Prevention
- Work closely with retail tenants to minimize shrinkage and theft.
- Conduct surprise checks and audits.
- Investigate incidents of theft or misconduct.
5. Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain all security-related registers (visitor log, incident reports, material movement).
- Ensure compliance with mall policies and local safety regulations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security reports.
6. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with security agencies and vendors.
- Liaise with mall management, tenants, and housekeeping teams.
- Ensure smooth coordination during events, sales, and high footfall days.
7. Training & Development
- Train guards on:
- Emergency response
- Customer handling
- Fire safety
- Grooming and discipline
- Conduct mock drills (fire evacuation, emergency scenarios).
Key Skills Required:
- Strong leadership and team management
- Crisis management and quick decision-making
- Knowledge of security systems (CCTV, access control)
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and vigilance
Qualifications
- Minimum Graduate (preferred)
- Certification in security management/fire safety (added advantage)
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in security operations
- Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory role
- Experience in retail mall / large commercial property preferred

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
