We are seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse (Home Care Supervisor) to provide clinical leadership and operational excellence across the Chevy Chase, MD and Washington, DC region.

Your Impact as Home Care Supervisor/RN

You will serve as the clinical leader, mentor, and advocate, overseeing patient care while supporting and developing a high‑performing care team.

Patient Care & Advocacy

  • Start‑of‑Care Excellence: Meet new patients, explain services, and complete comprehensive start‑of‑care assessments.
  • Individualized Care Planning: Develop and manage personalized plans of care that respect medical needs, patient preferences, and family dynamics.
  • Ongoing Clinical Oversight: Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans, and communicate changes with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Family Education & Support: Teach and supervise family members involved in patient care, ensuring safety, confidence, and continuity.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Caregiver Coaching: Guide nurses, aides, and personal care staff on care plans, best practices, and expectations.
  • Performance Oversight: Review documentation, monitor attendance and reliability, and provide timely feedback and coaching.
  • In‑Home Supervisory Visits: Observe care in action to ensure quality, compliance, and patient satisfaction.
  • Training & Orientation: Lead or support onboarding and ongoing education aligned with company standards and values.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Regulatory Excellence: Ensure compliance with OSHA, and state licensure requirements.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain high standards for records, progress notes, and compliance reporting.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and initiatives that elevate clinical outcomes and service quality.

Community Engagement & Growth

  • Relationship Building: Develop strong partnerships with referral sources, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Brand Advocacy: Represent Capital City Nurses and Care Advantage in the community, modeling iCARE values.
  • Growth Support: Contribute to organizational growth, mergers, and acquisitions while maintaining consistency in care standards.

What You'll Bring

  • Active RN license in Maryland and Washington, DC (compact/multi‑state accepted)
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (LPN‑to‑RN pathway accepted)
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Collaborative mindset and team‑first approach
  • Reliable transportation for home visits (mileage reimbursed)
  • Comfort with technology and electronic documentation (computer/iPad)
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
