Technical Sales and Quotations Engineer

What You’ll Do:

The Technical Sales & Quotations Engineer will support our growing sales team and provide expert technical guidance and detailed quotations to our valued customers and distribution partners.

You will be the key liaison between customers, sales representatives, engineering, and production. You’ll be responsible for interpreting technical specifications, preparing customized quotes, and supporting the sales team with product selection and application knowledge. This role demands strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Driving Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings, HVAC system specifications, and customer requirements to prepare accurate and timely quotations
• Provide technical assistance to customers, sales reps, and distributors regarding product selection, capabilities, and compatibility
• Create detailed cost estimates and formal quotations based on customer needs and Canarm’s HVAC product offerings
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to ensure feasibility, pricing, and lead times
• Maintain and update quote tracking systems and follow up with customers and reps to convert quotes into orders
• Respond to RFQs (Requests for Quotations) and support bid and tender processes for HVAC projects
• Support inside and outside sales teams with technical product knowledge and documentation
• Stay up to date on new products, market trends, and competitive offerings
• Assist in the development of tools and documentation to streamline the quotation process

What You Bring:

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Technology, HVAC, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in technical sales, estimating, or quoting within the HVAC, manufacturing, or mechanical systems industry
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, air movement equipment (fans, ventilation), and industry terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP and CRM systems is an asset
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specs
• Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Bilingual (English/French) is a plus
