Job Description

We are looking for a Manager, Accounting Services

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO) and Senior Director, Financial Services, the Manager, Accounting Services support and supervise daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and cash control processes, while ensuring the effective management of point-of-sale and parking systems across multiple locations. You will maintain general ledger payment transactions valued at approximately $40 million annually, support financial signing authority processes, contribute to quarterly and annual financial statements, provide training and guidance on accounting policies and client service practices, and participate in special projects and financial improvement initiatives.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in:

  • Financial environment-government and/or private sector;
  • Financial policy and systems, including internal controls;
  • Accounting operations and auditing;
  • Project management;

Knowledge of:

  • CMH/CWM mandate, priorities and programs;
  • Financial administration and financial management practices and techniques;
  • Financial accounting and cost accounting principles and practices;
  • Internal control practices;
  • Financial reconciliation methods;
  • Management information and control systems;
  • Financial Administration Act;
  • Financial reporting techniques, systems and practices;
  • Roles and operating procedures of federal government central agencies and services;
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Education: University degree in accounting, finance, business administration or commerce, or an acceptable combination of education, related experience and training.

Professional designation: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is an asset.

Compensation: MG3 - $ 103,436 to $ 131,689 (under review). This position is also subject to a performance bonus.

Status: Permanent Full-Time Position (# 10103)
