We're hiring a Talent Acquisition Advisor. This position is currently intended as a full-time permanent role. However, depending on evolving business needs and approvals, the role may be offered as a full-time temporary assignment. All candidates will be informed of the final status prior to offer.
Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will play an integral part in supporting the Canada Life Corporate Function Talent Acquisition team, managing full-cycle recruitment for Canada Life. This will include developing recruitment plans with hiring leaders, sourcing top talent, assessing, and selecting talent, and coaching junior team members in best practices, policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with the vision and goals of the company. You will act as a trusted advisor and partner to the business and collaborate on hiring strategies and execute these in creative ways.

You quickly understand the requirements of a search and can match opportunities with excellent candidates. You are comfortable with multiple searches all the way up to the executive level. What you will do:
- Create, develop, and deliver talent acquisition solutions to source, attract and hire the best talent to meet the company’s business needs and diversity practices.
- Work collaboratively with HR Business Partners to engage with business leaders, understand their recruitment needs, and develop recruitment strategies to meet talent requirements.
- Tap into pipelines of talent with external organizations and associations, universities and colleges; all in alignment with established recruitment strategies.
- Proactively source candidates through social networks, recruitment portals and other tools.
- Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive market research and on-going relationship management.
- Conduct in-depth interviews with candidates.
- Work with hiring leaders as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, educating stakeholders on the recruitment process, interview techniques and selection criteria, and managing the flow and quality and candidates.
What you will bring:
- 5+ years as an HR professional with a concentration in Talent Acquisition, experience supporting sales or wholesaling portfolios would be a strong asset
- Ideal education includes a post-secondary Degree/Diploma in HR Management, Business Administration or a related field
- Ability to manage a high volume of recruitment activity supporting a wide variety of complex positions
- Experience in candidate generation through a variety of channels including passive sourcing, referral campaigns, resume database mining; experience with LinkedIn Recruiter would be a strong asset
- Experience building effective and innovative talent sourcing strategies
- Strong capability in assessing and hiring internal and external talent with a focus on providing an exceptional candidate and hiring leader experience
- Expertise in Applicant Tracking Systems is a requirement; familiarity with Success Factors is an asset
- As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism is an asset (fluent in French and English) but is required for Quebec only as the position will regularly serve our clients with French and English-speaking needs.
Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations: Toronto, London, Winnipeg or Montreal.
The base salary for this position is between $62,800 - $104,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
