Job Overview

Browns Socialhouse, Point Grey, is seeking experienced and motivated Line Cooks to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals that meet our standards for taste, presentation, and safety.

We are primarily hiring for Evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
• Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling dishes
• Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area throughout shifts
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
• Follow sanitation procedures and uphold health standards at all times
• Support meal preparation for various service needs, including special events or catering

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is a plus
• Strong understanding of the food industry and restaurant operations
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail
