About The Role

We are seeking a GSC Master Data Manager to act as a senior individual contributor and Lead Data Steward for Global Supply Chain master data across Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, and Product domains.

This role is positioned as a hands‑on expert, responsible for ensuring ERP transactional fluidity, data consistency, and operational reliability through disciplined application of approved data standards, high‑quality SOPs, and strong coordination of on‑shore and off‑shore Data SMEs.

The role does not lead Data Governance, but is a critical enabler of governance outcomes through execution excellence. It plays a key role in New Product Introduction (NPI) and product lifecycle maintenance, ensuring master data is accurate, timely, and fit‑for‑purpose at every stage of the product and supply chain lifecycle.

Shift Timing: 2:30pm to 11:30pm IST (UK Hours)

Key Responsibilities

  • Master Data Stewardship & Standards Adoption
  • Act as Lead Data Steward for GSC master data, ensuring consistent application of approved data standards, definitions, dependencies and structures.
  • Translate global data standards into clear operational guidance for Data SMEs and transactional teams.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex master data issues impacting supply chain execution and reporting.
  • Leadership of Data SMEs (On‑ & Off‑Shore)
  • Provide functional leadership and direction to on‑shore and off‑shore Data SMEs responsible for master data creation and maintenance.
  • Set priorities, quality expectations, and ways of working without direct people management accountability.
  • Coach Data SMEs to improve first‑time‑right execution, data accuracy, and adherence to SOPs.
  • ERP Transactional Enablement
  • Ensure master data enables smooth, consistent ERP transactions across planning, manufacturing, logistics, and procurement processes.
  • Identify and resolve master data issues that create transactional breaks, rework, or downstream performance degradation.
  • Act as a key interface between Regional Marketing, Regional Sales and Supply Chain process owners, ERP configuration teams, and data operations.
  • SOP Ownership & Operational Excellence
  • Own, maintain, and continuously improve master data–related SOPs and work instructions.
  • Ensure SOPs remain aligned to process, system, and business changes and are embedded consistently across regions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in master data processes to improve efficiency, data quality, and cycle time.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) & Product Lifecycle
  • Act as a key contributor to the NPI process, ensuring timely and accurate creation of product attributes, product activation, BOM, recipe, blending and filling line asset setup, location extensions, logistics master data, QC specifications, etc.
  • Support Streamline and NPI stage‑gate readiness by ensuring master data completeness and correctness.
  • Manage ongoing product lifecycle maintenance, including changes, extensions, and phase‑outs, with minimal operational disruption.
  • Data Quality & Issue Resolution
  • Monitor master data quality and operational performance, identifying trends and systemic issues.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions in collaboration with Data SMEs and process owners.
  • Escalate material risks to Data Owners or functional leadership where required.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of extensive experience in Supply Chain master data management within a complex, global ERP environment.
  • Strong hands‑on background in ERP transactional data, product master data, product/marketing hierarchy, and cross‑functional supply chain processes.
  • Proven experience leading or coordinating distributed Data SME teams across regions.
  • Demonstrated involvement in NPI and product lifecycle data management within manufacturing or supply chain contexts.
