Server/Bartender

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, providing excellent customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety, cash handling, and beverage service, ensuring an exceptional experience for patrons. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are highly valued. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent time management skills, and possess a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their experience
• Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and payments
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Restock bar supplies and monitor inventory levels regularly
• Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and adhering to legal regulations
• Assist in setting up the bar area before shifts and cleaning up after closing shifts
• Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless food service when needed
• Follow all food safety protocols related to food handling and beverage preparation

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in bartending or serving roles
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and change calculation
• Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Hospitality-oriented attitude with a focus on creating positive guest experiences
• Must be at least 21 years old (if applicable based on local alcohol laws)
