Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai for a Staff Nurse / Shift Incharge. The role involves overseeing patient care during assigned shifts, managing nursing staff, and ensuring proper implementation of healthcare procedures. The responsibilities also include administering medication, monitoring patient health, assisting doctors during medical procedures, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, the Staff Nurse / Shift Incharge will play a key role in ensuring compliance with hospital policies and standards of care.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing procedures, patient care practices, and medical terminology
• Competence in medication administration, patient health monitoring, and management of critical cases
• Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively oversee shift operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate efficiently with medical staff
• Sound understanding of hospital safety protocols, infection control standards, and hygiene practices
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced medical environment
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution
• Valid nursing license or registration
• 0–5 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting (preferred)
