Job Description

We are seeking an Application Architect III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java-based application development, large-scale data and cloud ecosystems, and UI engineering, and a proven ability to design and execute application and process migrations to a strategic enterprise platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support migrations from legacy platforms to a future-state strategic platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technology and business teams to ensure smooth transition of applications and processes.
• Define and advocate for target architectures, patterns, and standards that drive platform adoption.
• Profile and tune performance of data-intensive, large-scale enterprise applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of hands-on Java 11+ development, including multithreading, collections, and functional programming with Spring, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Strong database design skills with expertise in SQL, query tuning, and optimization.
• Proven performance engineering experience, including memory profiling and optimization at scale.
• Frontend UI experience (5+ years) with HTML5, AngularJS, Backbone.js, and Bootstrap in Agile environments.
• Experience with big data and distributed ecosystems such as Apache Spark and Hadoop, and familiarity with cloud computing architectures.
• Strong background in enterprise stress testing and risk management across credit, operational, and market domains.
• Demonstrated coding, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities with ownership of deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey status, risks, and technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms and scalable data processing patterns.
• Prior work leading or influencing architecture in Agile/Scrum settings.
