APPOINTMENT:** 0.286 FTE Temporary (1 Block Semester 1) **

DURATION:** September 1, 2026 to February 1, 2027 **

Qualifications Required:

1. First Nations Language Teacher Certification in Okanagan Language (as recognized by the BC Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB)). Uncertified language teacher applications may be considered with a commitment to complete the TRB Letter of Permission;

2. recent experience teaching Okanagan language;

3. proficient in speaking and writing in Okanagan and English:

4. ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness;

5. knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;

6. demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;

7. effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;

8. ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs.
