Job Description
As a Service Desk Engineer L1/ 1.5 Shift working during Night (PST) in Hyderabad (WFO), your role at Base8 involves providing technology and business consulting services to clients in the US and Canada. You will collaborate with the team in the United States using various communication channels like video chat, instant messaging, e-mail, and phone, along with the company's software. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral, are essential due to our fast-paced and expanding environment. Your dedication to detail, adherence to processes, and adaptability to different scenarios are crucial for delivering superior service to our clients.
Your key responsibilities as a Service Desk Specialist include:
- Recording all actions, conversations, and work in the IT Service Management Tool (Service now) and utilizing the knowledge base for known errors
- Handling customer support issues related to mobile device activations, troubleshooting, and customer orders through portals
- Assisting with complex issues or unique customer processes
- Ensuring compliance with contractual goals and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Balancing online (phone support) and offline (email support) tasks efficiently
- Demonstrating expertise in mobile technology and troubleshooting skills
- Resolving incoming Service Desk incidents and requests from internal staff
- Providing IT support for various technologies, mainly Microsoft products
- Managing incoming calls, emails, and tickets professionally and customer-friendly manner
Skills required for this role:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Service Desk Analyst in a Service Desk environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with clients from the US, UK, Canada, and Australia
- Willingness to work night shifts
- Graduate or equivalent qualification, preferably in an IT-related field
- Proficiency in Windows, Active Directory, Office 365, etc.
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Management best practices
- Professional IT Certifications like Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSE, Citrix CCEA, CCIA, ConnectWise CCPA, LabTech LTCP, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP
