Senior Developer, Platform R&D

As a Senior React Native developer at our company, your role involves developing, designing, and maintaining the core framework of mobile applications for our platform. You will be responsible for creating and implementing new features, troubleshooting and debugging issues, optimizing app performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying updated with the latest advancements in React Native and mobile app development.

• *Key Responsibilities**:
• Architect and build performant mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms using React Native.
• Provide technical consultation and assist in defining scope and sizing of work with squad leaders and managers.
• Maintain compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 13485, and Cyber Essentials.
• Configure the platform HealthMachine according to functional specifications and develop platform modules focusing on quality and performance.
• Write well-documented, clean Javascript/TypeScript code to build reusable components.
• Maintain code, write automated tests, and assist in CI/CD for ensuring high-quality products.
• Lead by example in software design best practices, stay up-to-date with tools and technologies, and conduct engineering workshops to train team members.
• *Qualifications Required**:
• Hands-on experience developing consumer-facing mobile apps deployed and used in production.
• Mentorship ability for junior engineers and attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mobile development with React Native.
• Proficiency in React and its ecosystem, writing scalable JavaScript/TypeScript modules.
• Familiarity with native development tools like Xcode and Android Studio.
• Positive attitude, leadership in complex React Native implementations, and experience in server communication for mobile apps.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent command of version control systems like Git, and Agile/SCRUM methodology.
• Knowledge of Unix operating system, cloud computing platforms, database technologies, and data models.
• Open source contributions and experience in developing React Native wrappers for native functionality are advantageous.
