The City of North Battleford seeks proactive Community Safety Officers who also serve as Alternative Response Officers. Focus on supporting vulnerable individuals while enforcing community safety guidelines.
As an Alternative Response Officer, you will operate under the CSO Unit Commander, taking on responsibilities for community safety activities and law enforcement. You'll collaborate with local outreach workers and partners to enhance safety efforts. Your training under the Saskatchewan Mental Health Services Act will equip you to support those in need effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce thirteen provincial statutes under Saskatchewan Police Act
- Investigate low-risk, non-in-progress criminal offences
- Support vulnerable community members through outreach efforts
- Collaborate with community partners on safety initiatives
- Uphold the guidelines and policies of the CSO unit
Requirements
- Knowledge of Saskatchewan Peace Officer Program
- Understanding of the court system and trial procedures
- Experience in community outreach or safety roles
- Strong communication and enforcement skills
- Sworn special municipal constable certification
