About the role

· Willis College is building a career-focused program designed to train the next generation of cloud and cybersecurity professionals, and we are looking for experienced Subject Matter Experts to help shape it.

· This opportunity is ideal for seasoned cloud, cybersecurity, and IT practitioners who want a flexible way to share their expertise without committing to a full-time teaching role.

· This is a freelance, fully remote, project-based role. Engagements typically range from approximately 20 to 60 hours, depending on the scope of the project. SMEs are matched to topics based on their area of expertise.

What You will create:

· Lecture material and slide decks

· Hands-on labs and assignment

· Quizzes and assessments

· Instructor solutions

· Grading rubrics

Topics we are hiring for:

We are looking for SMEs with strong, hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

· Cloud Computing and Architecture

· Cloud Automation, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps

· Cloud Observability and Emerging Cloud Technologies

· Cloud Security and Zero Trust Architecture

· Identity, Access, and Infrastructure Security

· Governance, Risk, and Compliance

· Threat Detection, Security Monitoring, and SIEM

· Operating Systems, Windows Server, and Active Directory

· Python Programming for Cybersecurity

· Forensics, Malware Analysis, and Reverse Engineering

You do not need to be an expert in all these areas. Most SMEs specialize in one or two domains, and we will match engagements to your strengths.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for practitioners who bring:

· At least 2–3 years of hands-on industry experience in a relevant area

· Strong technical writing skills

· The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly

· Practical experience using the tools, platforms, or methods they would use to help learners understand

· A learner-focused mindset and attention to accuracy

· Relevant industry certifications are considered an asset. Prior teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, or technical writing experience is also helpful but not required.

· What matters most is that you have done the work in the field and can help others learn to do it well.
