Position Title :Vehicle Mechanic / EV Technician
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Vehicle Mechanic who has hands-on knowledge in repairing and servicing cars, mini trucks, and electric vehicles (EV). The candidate should also have experience in EV retrofitting, workshop setup, diagnostics, and maintenance operations. The ideal candidate must be capable of independently handling vehicle repairs, troubleshooting, and workshop activities efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesVehicle Repair & Maintenance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in cars and mini trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance such as engine servicing, brake inspection, suspension work, clutch repairs, and transmission servicing.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and vehicle inspections.
- Handle vehicle dismantling and assembly activities.
EV Vehicle Handling
- Diagnose and repair electric vehicle systems including battery packs, controllers, motors, and wiring.
- Handle EV charging systems and electrical troubleshooting.
- Perform EV retrofitting/conversion activities for conventional vehicles.
- Ensure safety procedures while working with high-voltage EV systems.
Workshop Setup & Operations
- Setting up automobile/EV workshops including tools, equipment, and service bays.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness, safety standards, and inventory control.
- Coordinate with vendors for spare parts and workshop equipment.
- Maintain service records and job cards.
Technical Support
- Use diagnostic tools and software for fault identification.
- Guide junior mechanics and support staff.
- Test drive vehicles after repair to ensure proper functioning.
- Stay updated with latest automotive and EV technologies.
Required Skills
- Experience in EV vehicle servicing and retrofitting.
- Knowledge of workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and service procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Understanding of vehicle safety standards.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Certification in EV Technology or Hybrid Vehicle Maintenance will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in car and mini truck servicing/repair.
- Experience in EV vehicle maintenance and retrofitting preferred.
- Prior experience in workshop setup and operations is an advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Hands-on technical expertise in both conventional and electric vehicles.
- Ability to independently manage workshop activities.
- Willingness to travel for vehicle inspection/service if required.
- Team player with a practical approach to problem-solving.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
