About Astrobase Space Technologies
Astrobase is a pioneering spacetech startup founded by prominent Senior ISRO scientists and IIT Bombay alumni with over 20 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, testing and flying advanced Cryogenic Launch Vehicles. Driven by a vision to make India a Space tech powerhouse, we are developing innovative launch vehicles that will transform space exploration. At Astrobase, you’ll be part of a team creating history in the Indian space industry. Our goal is to become the first private space company from India to land on the moon economically.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly and integration of engine components and subsystems.
- Install valves, pipelines, brackets, sensors, and structural components as per engineering drawings.
- Carry out alignment, fitment, and fastening of engine assemblies.
- Support integration of propellant lines, control systems, and instrumentation components.
- Use precision tools and instruments for assembly and installation activities.
- Ensure correct torquing, sealing, and fastening of mechanical joints.
- Assist during engine system integration tests and functional checks.
- Support pressure tests, leak tests, and system validation activities.
- Participate in pre-test preparations and post-test inspections.
- Follow all safety procedures during assembly and testing operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the assembly area.
- Ensure proper use of tools, lifting equipment, and protective gear.
DESIRED QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Aerospace Engineering (preferred for technician-level roles).
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering (preferred for engineer-level roles).
- ITI certification in trades such as Fitter, Machinist, or Turner (suitable for assembly-focused technician positions).
- Vocational or NSDC-certified Aerospace Technician programs (adds industry-recognized credibility).
