Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an IT Auditor to join our Resource Group Team at our Hyderabad office. This is a visible, significant role within the Company and the Audit function. This position will report to the Global IT Audit Leader
The IT Auditor position offers qualified candidates an opportunity to work in a diverse team to enhance their leadership, presentation, project management, problem-solving, critical thinking, investigation, and collaboration skills.
The role provides exposure to the commercial units, operations, compliance, and resource groups and to the different regions of the world. Analytical, accounting, financial reporting, internal control, information technology, risk assessment, and report writing skills are used and developed in the role.
As an IT Auditor, you will be involved in audit projects from start to finish, which include identifying and assessing project risks and controls, developing audit programs, performing audit work, and reporting agreed-upon results to management and other stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Reviewing Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs) to ensure IT processes and systems comply with industry best practices and applicable regulations and standards.
- Reviewing Information Technology Application Controls (ITACs) to verify that appropriate controls (e.g., security, integration, automated functionality) are in place for new and existing information systems, including applications and infrastructure.
Job Profile
Required
- 2–5 years of experience in IT internal auditing
- Graduation in accounting/finance / business management/information technology
- Hands-on experience testing ITGCs and ITACs for SOX compliance.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of NIST and COBIT frameworks
- Knowledge of cyber and physical security techniques
- Ability to clearly present complex concepts in oral and written formats
- Ability to influence and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, results-driven team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and accuracy in work
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Willingness to travel up to 20%, including global travel if required.
Preferred
- CA, CISA, or CIA (or currently pursuing)
- Exposure to information systems, compliance, financial, or operational audits.
- Familiarity with data analytics and visualisation tools (ACL, Tableau preferred)
