Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Veterinary Surgeon (MVSc) position based in Mumbai. In this role, you will provide direct medical care to street animals, including surgeries, diagnosing illnesses, treating injuries, and managing post-operative care. You will work alongside veterinary and support staff to ensure the well-being of animals in need. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with local responders, adhering to standardized treatment protocols, and maintaining records of patient care.

Qualifications

• Expertise in veterinary surgery, including treatment of injuries, infections, and post-operative care
• Solid knowledge in vaccination protocols, deworming, and infection management for small animals
• Experience in handling emergency cases and providing first-aid care onsite
• Proficiency in documentation and maintaining medical case records
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with local volunteers and team members
• A degree in Veterinary Science (MVSc) with a focus on surgery or related specialties
• Experience with street animal care or shelter medicine is an advantage
• Commitment to animal welfare and ability to work in a demanding, high-paced environment
